The Position
At Toyota Material Handling Europe, we are now expanding our European R&D organisation with a new Manager. In this role as Manager R&D Project Management Office you will lead and develop your team of Project managers ensuring governance, coordination and execution support in our R&D development programs. Working cross functionally with internal stakeholders as well as external collaborators, your work contributes and support forums, decision making and prioritisation within R&D.
This role is crucial to ensure a consistent and professional project and program management approach within Toyota Material Handling Europe R&D, always with quality, cost, time and functionality as a priority.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure successful delivery of R&D development programs, aligning execution with agreed objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers, driving excellence in planning, execution, cross-functional coordination, and transparent reporting
- Establish standardized ways of working, including governance, processes, and frameworks across project, program, and portfolio management
- Resource and capability planning, ensuring the right competencies and capacity to meet evolving short- and mid-term business needs
- Drive portfolio alignment and prioritisation as a member of the PMO R&D Steering Committee, ensuring focus on highest-value initiatives
- Monitor performance proactively identifying risks, resolving bottlenecks, enabling continuous improvement across programs
- Continuously develop and mature the PMO function, strengthening tools, methodologies, and best practices to improve efficiency and outcomes
