About the Program
The Toyota X30 Program is a multi-year strategic leadership initiative that combines business-critical assignments, international modules, and tailored personal development. Requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources or Legal
At least 5 years of experience working in a management team
At least 5 years of budget responsibility and/or people management responsibility
A minimum of 2 years’ experience within Toyota
Strong proficiency in English&lt;br /&gt;

We are now looking for a Software Tester with HIL competence to join our Software Development organization in Gothenburg and contribute to the next generation of embedded and automated systems.
Job description
As a Software Tester specializing in Hardware in the Loop (HIL), you play an important role in securing high quality embedded software for our products. You will work hands on with HIL testing, functional and integration testing, and test automation in both simulated and physical environments.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with system engineers, software developers, function owners, and cross functional teams within our agile setup.
Core responsibilities
You will:
Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases within HIL systems.
Configure HIL rigs, including I/O mapping, fault injection, signal stimulation, and model updates.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and pre‑release test activities.
Develop or update Python based scripts to support test automation.
Troubleshoot in a Linux environment
Monitor rig performance, troubleshoot issues, and support hardware/software improvements.
Analyses test results, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly to development teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within our agile way of working.
Mentor colleagues and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Document test cases, test reports, and other related matters.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Your experience &amp; Skills
To thrive in this role, you are solution-oriented and quality driven. You should also be curious, enjoy collaborative spirit, and comfortable working in a cross-functional agile environment. This role requires clear communication in English, both written and spoken. To be motivated by contributing to the team's success should be important to you.
You have:
A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a similar field.
Several years of experience in embedded software testing, including HIL systems.
Good understanding of embedded systems, control systems, and signal interfaces.
Experience with tools/protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, CANoe/CANalyzer, UDS/diagnostics.
Skills in Python (pytest or similar), CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others in a scrum team.&lt;br /&gt;

As a Technical Product Manager, you will bridge market needs, system architecture, and product development, turning customer and application requirements into structured technical solutions. You will take technical product ownership for vehicle platforms and system peripherals, working closely with colleagues across development, operations, sales, and external partners.
Core Responsibility
You will:
Act as technical product owner for assigned vehicle platforms and system components
Translate market and application needs into clear technical requirements
Ensure system architecture coherence across vehicles, software, and integrations
Represent Product Management in development governance and agile forums
Drive lifecycle management and continuous product improvements
Support sales, customer validation, and internal stakeholders as a subject matter expert&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Your Profile
You combine strong technical understanding with a structured and analytical mindset. You enjoy collaboration, communicate clearly, and are motivated by delivering high‑quality solutions that meet real customer needs. You are comfortable working cross‑functionally and taking an informal leadership role when needed.
You bring:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or equivalent experience
